Applications And Advantages Of Deep Hole Nesting Drill Bits
Time : 2024-04-25

The deep hole nesting drill bit is a tool used for deep hole nesting drilling. It is usually made of high-speed steel or carbide, with special structural design and cutting edge shape to meet the needs of deep hole nesting drilling.

Deep hole nesting drill bits usually have the following characteristics:

1. Longer length: The deep hole nesting drill bit needs to be able to penetrate the workpiece and complete deep hole drilling, so its length is longer to meet the processing depth requirements.

2. Cooling and lubrication functions: Deep hole nesting drill bits usually have cooling and lubrication functions to reduce friction and heat accumulation during the drilling process, maintain the working temperature of the tool and extend the service life.

3. Cutting edge shape: The cutting edge shape of deep hole nest drill bits is uniquely designed, usually using a spiral edge or nozzle edge to achieve efficient cutting and chip removal.

Deep hole nesting drill bits are widely used in deep hole processing in automotive parts, aerospace, mold manufacturing and other fields. It can be used to drill various materials, such as metals, alloys, plastics, etc., to meet the processing needs of complex workpieces.

The difference between nesting drill bits and solid drill bits used by CNC Plate Steel Drilling Machine:

1. With the same engine power, the maximum drilling diameter using a solid drill bit can reach 50mm, and the maximum drilling diameter using a nesting drill bit can reach 120mm, but the processing time required using a nesting drill bit is longer.

2. The inner part of the nesting drill bit is a hollow drill bit, so when the contact area is similar, the maximum drilling diameter can be increased, saving costs and better meeting processing needs.

(Note: If the engine power of the CNC Plate Steel Drilling Machine is increased, the maximum drilling diameter of 120mm can also be achieved using a solid drill bit, but the cost will increase.)
